Ted Nugent has carved a permanent place in rock & roll history as the ultimate guitar-shredding showman, selling more than 40 million albums, performing over 6,500 high-octane live shows, and continuing to set attendance records at venues around the globe. Nugent heads to the Valley this summer in support of his latest album The Music Made Me Do It released in November 2018.
Nugent started “beating on his first guitar around the age of five.” Strongly influenced by Chuck Berry and Bo Diddly, he knew he wanted to pursue that type of sound and attitude. Early bands, The Royal Highboys and The Lourds, paved the way for the Amboy Dukes and their psychedelic Journey to the Center of the Mindkicking young Ted’s career into hyper drive. The axe maniac soon broke out as a solo artist, signing with Epic Records, where the guitarist’s prodigious talent, ear-shattering volume and over-the-top stage antics quickly earned him the moniker of Motor City Madman. Cranking out hits like “Cat Scratch Fever,” “Wango Tango,” “Free for All” and the iconic “Stranglehold,” Nugent garnered international acclaim and truly hit his stride. Nugent’s no-holds-barred career now spans six decades of multi-platinum hits. The ultimate road warrior continues to tour and record at breakneck pace. Nugent and his inimitable sound have been featured on VH1’s Behind the Music and A & E’s Biography. Nugent was named Detroit’s Greatest Guitar Player of All Time by readers of MLive.
Nugent is also one of the nation’s most outspoken far right activists. His pro-gun, pro-hunting, anti-drink, and anti-drug lifestyle has made him the anti-rock star rock star. Opinionated, unapologetic, and always quotable, Nugent has said, "I have militantly defended my quality of life, and I would never compromise it in the name of hipness or acceptability of my so-called peers."
Politics aside, at 70 years of age, there’s no denying he puts on an amazing rock show. A Ted Nugent concert is not just a performance—it’s a fire-breathing celebration!
Alex is an International Recording Artist fronting a three-piece blues/rock power trio. His music is all original material aptly fitting into the new and cutting-edge genre of “RETRO-ROCK”. When you hear his music it will sound new, but pleasantly familiar and remind you of the classic hits from AC/DC, Ted Nugent, George Thorogood, Deep Purple, and Whitesnake - bands who inspired Alex to start composing all original Classic Power Rock music.
In the wake of Alex’s show, concertgoers become part of an interactive synergy. The way he attacks the stage and sends his dynamic energy out to the crowd is something to be experienced. The vibe is timeless.
